Latest version published by University of Science, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh city on 15 June 2020 University of Science, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh city
The dataset contains non-Vietnamese lichenized fungi specimens from various sources (collecting trips, duplicates from other herbaria) that are currently deposited in PHH Herbarium, Cryptogam Collection.

Data Records

The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 17 records.

This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.

Project Data

Following the impact and using the existing resource of the BIFA3_032 project, this BIFA4 project proposal aims to continue mobilizing the remaining Vietnamese bryophyte and lichen collections held in other Vietnamese herbaria and in foreign countries. These collections include the largest available material on Vietnamese bryophytes and lichens and provide together a nearly complete picture of cryptogam flora in Vietnam. Core activities of the project are to visit and examine the Vietnamese cryptogam collections in PC, EGR, TTN, PDU, KoLRI (& KH), and update the PHH collection. About 24% of the cryptogam specimens in PC (MNHN Herbarium, Paris) have been digitalized (mostly types) and among those waiting, there are thousands of specimens collected from Vietnam during the first half of XX century. In Eger, more than 1500 bryophyte specimens still needed to be identified and digitalized. When published, the data from historical collections in PC and EGR will help in the future work to clarify and re-assess the status of cryptogam observations in Vietnam, especially for those taxa that are now reported as “endemic to Vietnam”.
